Four teams from Manipur will take part in the 35th Senior National Tug of War Championship 2022 organised by the Tug of War Federation of India to be held from October 28 to 31 in Kurukshetra, Haryana, the Manipur Tug-of-War Association has said.
The Manipur Tug-of-War Association (MTWA) stated in a release that four teams from the state will be participating in the 35th Senior National Tug of War Championship (Men x Women x Mix 4+4) for outdoor organised by the Tug of War Federation of India.
In the championship, the four teams from the state will be participating in the events of senior 600 kg men, 500 kg women, and 500 kg (4+4 mix), it informed.
The athletes along with the coaches will be leaving for the championship in Haryana on Tuesday morning. The athletes will return to Imphal on November 4, the MTWA said on Monday.
