HL Memorial Team, K. Gamnomphai, Vomthang Memorial Team, and Koubru Bakery Football Club, Bimparao booked the first three spots in the quarterfinals round of the ongoing KFA's Open Night Football Tournament after defeating their respective opponents on Saturday evening at D. Phaihel village.

In the first pre-quarterfinal match, HLMT, K. Gamnomphai village edged past Khohen Vahneng Memorial Team with a narrow 1-0 win to book the first spot in the quarterfinal round.
Suraj's 31st-minute brilliant strike was instrumental for the K. Gamnomphai side to book a berth in the quarterfinal round.
In the second match, Vomthang Memorial Team had a comfortable 3-0 win over United Young Brothers (UYB) to book the second spot in the quarterfinal round. Ziem Khongsai (18', 54'), and Goulal (64') scored for the memorial team.
In the third match, Koubru Bakery Football Club had a narrow 2-1 win over Cananphai Youth Club to book the third spot in the quarterfinal round. Ngamgougin (62'), and Lengousem (65') scored the Koubru Bakert FC while Laljalen (83') pulled back a goal for the Cananphai side.
In men's volleyball, GKVT defeated Friends of Unity in a straight two set (25/9, 25/13) in the first match while Doulhun Memorial Team beat Mimin Team in a similar two set (25/12, 25/21) in the second match.
In the third match, Khochal team defeated James Team in a straight two set (25/16, 25/24) while the fourth match ended in a walkover in favor of Saikotjang Youth Club as the opponent Gopibung team failed to turn up for the match.
No women's volleyball on Saturday evening while there will be no matches on Sunday.
