PDDC was launched under the aegis of Film Forum Manipur (FFM) and Cloud Entertainment Network Pvt Ltd, as a part of the 18th Film Forum foundation day celebration held at the Manipur State Film Development Society (MSFDS) auditorium on Monday,
Pointing out the declining state of the Manipur film industry, PDDC CEO Joychand Moirangthem said, "The primary goal of the PDDC is to increase the market for Manipuri films by dubbing them in other regional languages of India and international languages and provide opportunities for dubbed movies to earn more as an alternative source of income from their film," Joychand said.
For filmmakers looking to increase their market, dubbing is a fantastic opportunity as it boosts the number of audiences in the market. By drawing in more viewers from domestic and international markets, dubbing Manipuri films can increase their demand, he said.
