The second Rongmei consultative meeting jointly organised by the Rongmei Naga Council Manipur, Rongmei Naga Students Organisation Manipur and Rongmei Naga Luh Phuam Manipur was held at the Multi purpose hall near Mini Stadium, Tamenglong HQ on Wednesday.
The consultative meeting discussed the present Manipur crisis and reaffirmed the first Rongmei consultative meeting that was held at Khoupum. It also reaffirmed the Rongmei Peoples Convention resolutions of January 9, 2018 held at Tamenglong district headquarters.

The second Rongmei consultative meeting also resolved to revive the Rongmei Naga Youth Organisation Manipur (RNYOM) in view of the prevailing situation. The consultative meeting elected Richard Kamei as president of RNYOM.
The meeting also elected three vice-presidents, namely Tunding Gangmei, Gaidingmei Gonmei and Giangsinglung Panmei. AG Jonah and Paul Kahmei were elected as general secretary and joint secretary respectively.
The meeting also resolved to raise demands for infrastructure development in Rongmei land. It further resolved to protect and preserve Rongmei literature.
