A man employed at a welding work inside the Indoor Stadium Hall of Kumbi College under Kumbi Police Station in Bishnupur district was found hanging at the said workplace on Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as one Laishram Amarjit alias Thebo, 21, son of L Ingocha from New Keithelmanbi.
According to his family, Thebo had not returned home for the past five days after he had gone to work. There were no arguments or issues within the family, they said.
They received information at around 8 pm that he was found hanging. Thebo is survived by his wife and a year-old child.
In connection with the incident, Kumbi Police station has registered a case. A team of Forensic Science laboratory has inspected the crime scene, and the body has been taken to RIMS Mortuary for conducting post mortem examination.
