LNC-M to support NPF candidate Timothy Zimik

LNC president R Machundoubou said that the avowal was decided in the recently held 46th Annual General Assembly of Liangmai Naga Council at Thalon Village in Tamenglong District on Thursday.

The Liangmei Naga Council, Manipur (LNC-M) on Friday declared its support to Naga People’s Front (NPF/NDA) candidate Kachui Timothy Zimik for the II-Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituency in the ensuing 18th Lok Sabha Elections.

In a release, LNC president R Machundoubou said that the avowal was decided in the recently held 46th Annual General Assembly of Liangmai Naga Council at Thalon Village in Tamenglong District on Thursday.

It further said that the Liangmai Tribe has collectively resolved to endorse the resolution No 5 adopted in the Presidential Council Meeting of the United Naga Council, Manipur dated October 27, 2023 at UNC Office Senapati District HQs considering the Naga political aspirations and political position being faced by Nagas in the state.

LNC-M also passed a directive to the constituent zonal as well as village authorities of all Liangmai villages in Manipur to sustain and leave aside political connection, individual link in the interest of Naga People, it mentioned.
