UVSA Lilong Chajing sailed into the final beating SVA Khongjom Keirak by a solitary goal in the 4th Sangai Trophy Veterans' Football Championship 2022 organised by UVFA Manipur and played at Artificial Turf, Lamlong Thongkhong on Thursday.
The second semi final was a cautiously fought game with neither team taking any risk, rather than waiting on to pounce on any loose opportunity. However, the day seemed to belong to the UVSA team as they get their opportunity just before the first half whistle from a penalty decision in the 30th minute of the game.
UVSA experienced player N Itocha Singh made no mistake in converting the penalty kick to perfection, to guide his team to the final.
With the final line up settled, UVSA Lilong Chajing will take on formidable FC Imphal, Mayai Koibi in the final match to be played on Sunday, June 19 at 2.30 pm at Artificial Turf, Lamlong Thongkhong.
