Riverlane YC upset Panchai SCC by 3-2 goals to move into the quarter final of the DC Chandel Trophy Second Division Football Tournament 2022 organised by DSA Chandel at Ziontlang Ground.
The match brought the best out of the teams as they constantly tried the reflexes and agility of the keeper, keeping the score level with 1-1 goals in the first half. TS Surash struck for Panchai team while WL Gladson fetched the equaliser.
Panchai SCC seems going out for the kill, pushing home the leading goal from SR Rimtha but However Riverland YC picks up their remaining strength with SR Denny picking up two important goals for the victory enroute to the quarter final.
Unisa also sails into the quarter final beating Phunchung YC by 2-1 goals. Alfred and Angkham scored a goal each for the Unisa team while Damnahring fetched the lone goal for Phunchung.
As for the ADC Chandel Trophy First Division Football League 2022, Kankhu Athletics FC beat Chandel Khullen YC by 3-1 goals to book their final berth. Thumtha, Mission scored a goal each while Kowarshing conceded an own goal. The lone goal for Chandel Khullen was fetched by Thangkhopao.
