Local club Twilang Area Sporting Association (TASA), runner-up of the Sadar Hills 1st Division, slurped a brilliant 2-0 win over Saikotjang Youth Club (SYC) in the pre-quarter league round of the ongoing Len and Sang Trophy 2022 at Brig M Thomas ground Kangpokpi on Saturday.
The win ensured TASA a quarter-final berth in group A with one win and a loss as runner-up while Kuki Sporting Club emerged as the group winner with two wins from two matches.
Lamgoulun (12'), and Lalkhanlen (61') scored for TASA to sail the team through to the quarterfinal stage.
The second match between Satkhohen and Sumkhomang Memorial Team and MSL team KLASA Keinou ended in a goalless draw.
There will be no match on Sunday.
On Monday, Manipur Terrier Imphal will play Kuki Football Academy (Junior) in the first match while YOSC Khurai will clash with Taphou Football Club in the second match.
