In view of the opening of the KFA Residential Academy, residential head coach James Singson is being praised for his remarkable achievement in building a successful system of team management.

KFA president Lamminthang Kipgen said that James has developed a uniquely thoughtful style of play and a successful system of team management that has become one of the most respected in the modern game not only in the district but the state as a whole within a short span of five months.

KFA founder Thangboi Kipgen said that his dream of developing football among the youth of Manipur, particularly the Kuki youths, from the grassroots level has begun to sprout under the guidance of James Singson and that he is very happy to have him as the residential coach in the academy.

He also credited James Singson with the success in the grand opening of the KFA.

The brainchild of Thangboi Kipgen, the Kuki Football Academy had scripted the football history of Manipur by successfully conducting a grand Night Football Tournament in 2017 and it is growing in terms of participating teams and prizes as well as it continues to organize the tournament every winter season.

The KFA currently has 45 players/wards in its Residential Academy shining brightly under its Head Coach James Singson.
