Kshetrimayum Robert half century knock helped CDC Sagolband beat UCC Uripok by 3 wickets to lift the Champion title of the 6th MNCA Plate Tournament 2021-22 played at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium, Luwangsangbam.

In a keenly contested final match, CDC Sagolband middle order batsman Ksh Robert smashed 53 runs off 59 balls to lay their hand on the Champion Trophy and pocketed Rs 1 lakhs as prize money while UCC had to contend with the Runner Up title with Rs 70,000.

Earlier in the day, UCC Uripok made a great stride riding on H Ajitkumar’s shoulder, who cracked a fine half century from 66 balls while Th Anson got 47 runs off 48 balls to pile up 206 runs for 10 wickets from 40 overs. Roshan Das contributed 21 runs.

CDC bowlers M Jodiba claimed 3 wickets for 22 runs while Geerish got 2 wickets, Khurshid Alam and Ksh Robert took 1 wicket each.

Chasing the target, CDC Sagolband lost two early wickets but with the arrival of Priyojit N, who steadied the innings with 41 runs, tied up with Ksh Robert to change the statistic of the game, hitting 53 runs and Md Ataur Rahaman got 27 runs for the victory.

UCC bowler K Gulson, Th Yoihenba picked 2 wickets each while SK Ray, Arnold and Roshan Das fetched 1 wicket each. CDC batsman Ksh Robert was declared the Man of the final Match for his 53 runs and 1 wicket and awarded Rs 2,500.

The other individual title of the tournament saw M Jodiba of CDC Sagolband walking away with Highest Wicket Taker with 18 wickets and Man of the Series with 55 runs and 18 wickets with a cash amount of Rs 12,000. 

The Highest Run Scorer of the meet was bagged by Narengbam Priyojit of CDC Sagolband with 204 runs from 6 innings, carrying a cash amount of Rs 4,000.
