The Executive Council of the All Manipur Football Association (AMFA) has appointed four joint secretaries to assist in the smooth functioning of office administration and its activities. The four officials are Md Jane Khan, S Jiten Meitei, M Tombimacha Singh and Th Ojit Singh, according to a release by L Jyotirmoy Roy, general secretary, AMFA.
AMFA serves explanation
AMFA has served an explanation notice to the manager of the LYCC team for not releasing one of their players who was selected to represent Manipur in the 36th National Games 2022, to attend residential coaching camp.
The player, Armstong Dibung Ramungnao, was selected for the Manipur squad for the Games and has been asked to report and join the camp and not to take part in any other tournament.
However, AD Ramungnao, participated in a match against KSC in the ongoing second AMFA Cup played on September 17 last and hence the explanatory call.
The AMFA asked the manager of the LYCC team to explain the situation and why action should not be taken against them for violation of the AMFA Memorandum made on September 14.
The explanation call must reach the AMFA office before LYCC next match failing which ex-parte decision shall be taken against LYCC without further notice, the statement read.
