Wahyum Fest 2022 was inaugurated on Friday. As a part of the inaugural programme, a pony (horse) and cycle rally was held from Marjing, Heigang to Wahyum Eco-resort, Toarem in Imphal East.
Speaking to the media, director of Mayflos Cultural and Entertainment Private Limited, M Rakesh said that the 2nd Wahyum Festival of art and music is being organised with the theme of protection and conservation of Pony (horse).

During the festival, cultural teams and music bands from Nagaland are also performing, Rakesh said, adding that the festival is organised to promote the art and music of Manipur.
With regards to the name of the festival, he informed that Wahyum is taken from Bamboo eco-friendly plant.
The inaugural function was attended by advisor of All Manipur Polo Association, M Khelendro; Imphal East ex-Adhakshya, M Babita; Taorem village president W Rajmani and social worker S Tondang among others.
