The Hill State People’s Democratic Party (HSPDP) on Wednesday announced the first list of seven candidates for the upcoming Meghalaya Assembly elections.

Party chief KP Pangniang is one of the candidates declared by the party. He will be contesting against NPP candidate Kimfa S Marbaniang, who recently resigned as MLA, from the Rambrai-Jyrngam constituency.
The other candidates include Evalyne Kharbani (Mawhati), Primson Makdoh (Umsning), Shakliar Warjri (Mawthadraishan), Sanjied Kynsai Shangrit (Nongstoin), Methodeius Dkhar (Mawshynrut) and Milansing Lyngdoh (Mawkyrwat).
