Phowaibi Area Vaiphei Chief Association (PAVCA) on Wednesday condemned the eviction order issued by SDO Thoubal on September 22 and alleged that the eviction was carried out in a biased manner at Phowaibi Village in Kangpokpi district.

A release issued by PAVCA stated that during the drive, SDO Thoubal Mayengbam Ranjeeta Devi had evicted two settlers while leaving out the others. “Of the four settlers in the area, two of them had made more encroachments than the other remaining two who got evicted, but they were left out from the eviction” it added. It accused the SDO for being biased, calling her action “partial and injustice”.
