Manipur government on Tuesday imposed Section 144 of the CrPC, 1973 within and around the jurisdiction area of K Songjang village and Kungpinaosen village of Kangvai subdivision in Churachandpur district, particularly along the Bishnupur-Tupul Highway. 

The order issued by the district magistrate, Churachandpur Sharath Chandra Arroju stated that the curfews under CrPC 144 were imposed following reports that there is likelihood of serious breach of peace, disturbance to public tranquility and grave danger to human life and public property in the area.
