Pherzawl DC stresses on active role of skill committee in project formulation and implementation

In an effort to increase awareness on the roles and functions of the District Skill Committee, Pherzawl, the DSC held a meeting at the district HQ on Tuesday. The district deputy commissioner Joseph Pauline Kamson called for more proactive role in project formulation and implementation.

The role of the Mahatma Gandhi National Fellow (MGNF), Pherzawl district, SANKALP scheme and Special Project proposals were highlighted during the meeting.

Additional deputy commissioner of Pherzawl suggested the reconstitution of the DSC to include heads of relevant line departments and educational institutions, and formation of sub committees for taking forward the process.

The meeting was also attended by general manager, DIC, ZEO Pherzawl, lead district manager, executive engineer, DRDA, SDO Vangai Range and other district officers.

The members resolved to assist the DSC in preparation of the first District Skill Development Plan (DSDP) of Pherzawl after taking relevant inputs from relevant stakeholders.
