Muslim community holds mass prayer for peace in Manipur

The Muslim community in Imphal held a mass peace prayer at every mosque across the state on Friday.

For normalcy to return and peace to prevail in Manipur, the Muslim community held a mass peace prayer at every mosque across the state on Friday.

The mass prayer at Babupara Masjid was attended by various CSO leaders of the Muslim community.

Speaking to the media after the mass prayer, All Manipur Muslim Coordinating Committee (AMMOCOC) president SM Jalal said that the ongoing crisis among two communities in the state “extremely unfortunate”.

He stressed the need to leave behind all the past enmity and hatred, to bring back normalcy in the state. The prayer was led by Ima Moulana of Babupara Masajid Sahid Ahmad.
