Extending solidarity and condemnation against the recent bomb attack at the Little Flower School, Imphal West by suspected militant group, all missionary schools in Manipur ceased classes for one day on Tuesday.
On Tuesday, students and faculties of Little Flower School held a peace procession from the school campus in Sangaiprou till Kwakeithel Bazar, Imphal West (Tiddim Road) and back to the school premise, condemning the blast.
Placards which read, “We condemned the bomb attack at our school”, “Allow us to grow without fear”, “We are the future, save us”, “Spare us, we just survived the pandemic”, “Make education a free zone”, “We want peace,” and “Education is our basic right” among others were used during the procession.
The students are just out of the pandemic and are preparing for the upcoming examination, especially the class X students in full swing; however, the recent bomb attack at the school has turmoiled the academic environment of the school giving panic and terror to the whole school community, said a student protestor.
“Please, do not repeat such cowardly atrocities in the school, which is dedicated to the girl students. Leave us in peace and let us continue our academic environment,” she added.
