Manipur BJP spokesperson Elangbam Johnson on Sunday said that the vice president of Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) should do a fact check before making allegations on the present BJP government instead of resorting to false narratives.
Johnson was speaking to the media at BJP head office located at Nityaipat Chuthek, Imphal West on Sunday.
It would have been better if the narratives against the BJP were based on actual data or facts, but it is unfortunate vice president, MPCC Alfred K Arthur made the allegations with a false narrative with a motive to get political mileage.

Since the BJP came into power at both the Centre and the state, continuous initiatives have been made to bring closeness among the people of both the valley and hill districts. The state government has been launching the Go to Hills campaign and even state cabinet meetings are being conducted in various hill districts, he mentioned.
In the recent Manipur Legislative Assembly session, the government passed resolution for implementation of NRC and abrogation of SoO. However, for some petty reasons, the congress MLAs staged a walk out from the Manipur Legislative Assembly when the discussions for NRC in Manipur was being held, Johnson added.
He said that various welfare schemes under the government have given benefits to people across the state. Citing an example, Johnson added that CMHT cards and its benefits have been upgraded to Ayushman cards with a benefit of Rs 5 lakh for each beneficiary.
He questioned what stance has been declared by the Congress party in connection with the present crisis. “Has the Congress raised its voice against the demand for Separate Administration issue or abrogation of SoO?” he questioned.
The allegations raised by the MPCC vice president against the BJP was a part of political war with the arrival of Lok Sabha election, he said.
It is not the right time to play political games but voices should be raised instead to cooperate among each other, he added.
