Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh on Wednesday held a meeting with representatives of Kom Union Manipur and Kom Students' Union and lauded the community's decision to join forces with the government in War Against Drugs.
"My regards to the Kom community for their decision to join forces with us in War Against Drugs," Biren tweeted on Wednesday.
The chief minister also assured to look into the welfare of the community, including the problems of Kom women artisans.
"Held deliberations with representatives of Kom Union Manipur & Kom Students' Union. Assured to further work together for the welfare of the community, consider the problems of the Kom women artisan and take a call in the larger interest of the youths in education and job creation," Biren said in another tweet on Wednesday.
