Thoubal Range Forest of Thoubal Forest Division along with Thoubal police on Wednesday seized a JCB and three tractors which were used in alleged illegal excavation of earth.
On learning that alleged illegal excavation of earth was being carried out at Tera Ching , a team led by Thoubal Range Forest deputy ranger Md Aslam Khan seized the JCB and tractors. The seizure was carried out under the supervision of Thoubal district forest officer Th Lokendro with the help of Thoubal police
Tera Ching is situated between Thoubal Moijing and Thoubal Litanpok in Thoubal district, Manipur.
The JCB belonged to one Md Ajmir, 40, son of Md Ibothem from Lilong Nungei and the three tractors belonged to one Md Yunus Khan, 30, Md Bidur alias Yahiya, 35, son of Md Ziyayuddin, both from Thoubal Moijing Awang Leikai, and Md Islam, 52, from Thoubal Moijing, police said.
