The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned that heavy rainfall activity will continue over the Northeastern states of India from June 9-13.
The IMD, in its weather bulletin, said that fairly widespread to widespread rainfall accompanied with thunderstorm/lightning/ heavy to very heavy with extremely heavy rainfall at isolated places are very likely over the Northeastern states from June 9-13 as an east-west trough runs from southeast Uttar Pradesh to Manipur across Bihar, SubHimalayan West Bengal and Assam and Meghalaya at 0.9 km above mean sea level and a trough runs from Sub-Himalayan West Bengal to Interior Odisha at 1.5 km above mean sea level.
The weatherman has predicted light to moderate rainfall at most places with isolated heavy to very heavy with extremely heavy rainfall. Thunderstorm/lightning at isolated places in Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh in the next two days, i.e., Friday and Saturday.

Light to moderate rainfall at most places with isolated heavy to very heavy with extremely heavy rainfall. Thunderstorm/lightning at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh on June 10, 12 and 13, the IMD said in its weather bulletin.

Thunderstorm/lightning at isolated places in Assam and Meghalaya on June 10 while it has predicted light to moderate rainfall at most places with isolated heavy to very heavy with extremely heavy rainfall on June 11 in the two states.
Light to moderate rainfall at most places with isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall will occur in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and meghalaya on June 12 and 13, while Nagaland, Manipur,Mizoram and Tripura will witness light to moderate rainfall at most places with isolated heavy rainfall from June 10-13, according to the IMD.
