Floral tributes paid to RPF chief Irengbam Chaoren

People belonging to various ethnic communities paid floral tributes to former RPF president Irengbam Chaoren alias Bhorot.

People belonging to various ethnic communities came to pay floral tributes to former proscribed outfit RPF president Irengbam Chaoren alias Bhorot, at his residence, Khagempalli Huidrom Leikai, Imphal West, Manipur on Tuesday.

According to the Revolutionary People's Front, Irengbam Chaoren passed away on February 10 at 10.30 pm after he suffered from terminal brain tumour. The outfit mourned the death and extended condolences to the bereaved family and people on the death of the RPF chief.

Irengbam Chaoren served as the party's president from 1990 till his last breath.

The outfit announced a 15-day mourning period for its leader from February 10 till February 24, saying that the party's flag will be flown half mast during the period as a mark of respect and honour to the departed leader.
