Miscreants exploded an IED at an under construction building in Keishamthong Hodam Leirak under Imphal Police Station around 6.40 pm Wednesday, sources said.
Police said the bomb exploded at the first floor of the under construction building, which belongs to one Khangembam Radhapyari, 80, wife of (L) Kh Iboyaima of Keishamthong Hodam Leirak.
Apart from minor damages to the floor, no major damage or casualty was reported in the explosion, police said.
Footage of CCTV cameras installed at the SBI ATM and one Aditya Flavour Restaurant below the building have been collected to aid the investigation process, police said.
While the reason for the bomb attack is yet to be ascertained, a case has been registered at the Imphal Police Station, police added.
