Abducted Reliance Jio workers released

Three workers of Reliance Jio Towers remained untraceable after being abducted by miscreants at Bungte Chiru, Thangbuh village in Kangpokpi district, Manipur around 3.50 pm on February 3.

All three workers of Reliance Jio Towers who were abducted by miscreants were released at the Laimaton area under Khoupum Police Station in Noney district around 2 pm on Tuesday.

They remained untraceable after being abducted by miscreants at Bungte Chiru, Thangbuh village under New Keithelmanbi Police Station in Kangpokpi district, Manipur around 3.50 pm on February 3. 

The three missing workers identified as Mrinal Chetia c/o Dipak Chetia, Namrupia Gaon, Jorhat Assam; Prokash Gogoi c/o Golap Gogoi, 138, NSBK Road, Namrupia Gaon, Jorhat Assam and Sanjiv Samachi, 138 NSBK Road Namrupia Gaon Jorhat Assam. They were working under Sapphire Solutions Company.

In connection with the incident, Sapphire Solutions project head Sumit Rai lodged a report to OC New Keithelmanbi Police Station on Saturday. The report mentioned a demand for heavy ransom, the sources said.
