The Relief Committee JNIMS on Sunday stated that the committee has treated as many as 247 individuals who sustained injuries during the ongoing conflict which broke out on May 3 as of Saturday.
The relief committee stated in a release that a total expenditure of Rs 3,56,571 has been spent for treatment of the individuals, of which Rs 1, 77, 900 was donated by the public.
The committee thanked all those who have extended help and further appealed to the public to donate financial assistance for treatment of those who have been injured during the ongoing conflict.

Meanwhile, MLA Kh Joykisan on Sunday urged the government and private hospitals to provide free treatment for the injured who are admitted in either hospitals in connection with the ongoing communal clash.
Joykisan told the media at his residence located at Thangmeiband, Imphal West, that he had submitted a written request to both governments and private hospitals located in Thangmeiband assembly constituency to exempt all the treatment charges for the injured.

The MLA also said the government is providing over Rs 1 crore for local area development. He urged the government to add a sum of at least Rs 50 lakh in addition to the local area development fund so that the MLAs could provide more assistance for the injured.
