With barely a few days left for the 12th Manipur Assembly elections 2022 to be held, party national leader Rahul Gandhi is all set to visit Manipur on February 21 to campaign for the party in the state.
During the visit to the state, Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to visit the Shaheed Minar at BT Park and the Nupi Lal Memorial complex and pay tribute to all the departed souls of the freedom fighters of Manipur, according to a reliable source.
After visiting the two locations, he will be addressing a political gathering at Hatta Kangjeibung, Imphal East. Following which, he will be meeting the leaders of MPCC at its office at BT Road, Imphal and return to Delhi from the Bir Tikendrajit Airport, the sources said.

Rahul Gandhi's last visit to the state was during the campaign of the Lok Sabha election, 2019.
On February 15, star campaigner of the Congress and AICC general secretary Priyanka Gandhi had addressed a virtual meeting and interaction programme with the people of Manipur.
Apart from Rahul Gandhi, Congress national leaders, Jairam Ramesh and Bhakta Charan Das have been campaigning in the state for a few months.
As per the sources, Congress party chief Sonia Gandhi has no plan to visit Manipur.
Former chief minister and state Congress Legislature Party leader O Ibobi told mediapersons, “We do not need our leaders to visit the state, we the MPCC along with our supporters are more than enough to fight the election successfully as the Congress party is accepted by the maximum population of Manipur”.
