Manipur Polls: Tripura CM Biplab Deb campaigns for Jiribam's BJP candidate

Deb arrived in Manipur on Friday on a two-day visit to the state to join BJP's campaign trail for the ensuing state Assembly elections.

Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb on Saturday campaigned for BJP candidate of Jiribam Assembly constituency Nameirakpam Bhudhachandra Singh.

Deb arrived in Manipur on Friday on a two-day visit to the state to join BJP's campaign trail for the ensuing state Assembly elections.  

Taking to Twitter, the Tripura CM said the huge participation of women in the gathering showed immense trust in the good governance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh.

"Campaigned for the @BJP4Manipur candidate from Jakrodhor, Jiribam, Shri Nameirakpam Bhudhachandra Singh Ji today. Huge participation of women in the gathering shows their immense trust in the good governance of Hon'ble PM Shri @narendramodi Ji & CM Shri @NBirenSingh Ji," Deb tweeted.

The Tripura CM also interacted with the Karyakartas of Manipur BJP and community leaders in Jiribam and discussed the vision of the state BJP and how it plans to further develop the state.

On Friday, Deb campaigned for BJP candidate of Saiton, Kumbi Mandal, S Premchandra Singh Deb.

Manipur will go to polls in two phases on February 28 and March 5 for the election to the 60-member state Legislative Assembly.
