Rajbrinda Naorem, a student at TG Higher Secondary School, Imphal, made the state proud by topping in the Commerce stream, Class-12 examination 2023 conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur (COHSEM).
Topper Rajbrinda Naorem from Tentha Khongbal in Thoubal district is the eldest of the three children of Henary, a private school teacher and Satyapriya, who is a housewife.
In an exclusive interview, Rajbrinda said that she aspired to be an entrepreneur to solve the prevailing issue of youth unemployment in the state. Although she mentioned that she scored less than she had anticipated, she exuded confidence in becoming a topper.
Stating that listening to music is her hobby, she continued that though students should not be restrained from indulging in their hobbies they should have a bond with their books and also must be able to use technologies such as mobile phones for the better.
She said that she will continue her studies in B Com in Punjab or Uttarakhand. She recalled that she faced many adversities during the COVID pandemic and also urged the government to resolve the prevailing crisis in the state promptly.
She credited her success to her parents, school staff and her teacher Premchand.
Rajbrinda’s father Henary expressed delight for his daughter’s success and added that he had always supported Rajbrinda’s dream and will continue to do so.
