Manipur continues to report zero COVID-19 death

At least 10 new COVID-19 positive cases were detected in Manipur on Friday. The state's COVID-19 confirmed tally reached 1,37,104

Manipur on Friday recorded 10 new COVID-19 positive cases, pushing the state's tally to 1,37,104 while the death toll remained at 2,120 with zero new fatality, according to the latest update by the state health department. Consequently, the positivity rate is 3.5 per cent.

According to a release issued by the State COVID-19 Common Control Room, of the 10 COVID-19 cases reported on Friday, four are reported from Imphal West, three from Imphal East, two from Bishnupur and one from Chandel.

The state also recorded 10 new recoveries, taking the cumulative number of recovered cases to 1,34,950. The recovery rate is 98.43 per cent. Manipur now has 34 COVID-19 active cases, as per the release.

Meanwhile, a total of 258 Oxygen Cylinders and 79 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur in the last 24 hours.

As per the latest update, the total number of people who have been administered the vaccine has reached 27,89,305 (first dose: 15,40,654 second dose: 11,82,576 precautionary dose: 66,075).

The cumulative number of people who have been vaccinated in the state with the first dose is 61.53 per cent and for the second dose is 50.52 per cent, it mentioned.
