India reports 15,754 new COVID-19 positive cases, 47 deaths

India's COVID-19 active caseload rose to 1,01,830 as 4,36,85,535 total patients have recovered while 5,27,253 others have died, so far.

India's COVID-19 active caseload rose to 1,01,830, while the total confirmed case load reached 4,43,14,618, including 4,36,85,535 recoveries and 5,27,253 deaths, so far, according to latest official updates.

The Union Health Ministry stated in a release that India's active cases stand at 0.23 per cent, while the recovery rate currently is 98.58 per cent, as 5,754 new COVID-19 positive cases were detected, while the disease claimed 47 more lives in a span of 24 hours.

The daily positivity rate is 3.47 per cent, while the weekly positivity rate is 3.90 per cent.

As many as 2,246 more people tested positive for COVID-19 in Maharashtra, taking the total caseload to 80,78,411, while Delhi reported 1,964 new positive cases which pushed the confirmed caseload to 19,90,355. The active cases in Maharashtra and Delhi are 11,690 and 6,826 respectively.

Meanwhile, 88.18 crore total tests have been conducted so far, while 209.27 crore total vaccine doses (93.90cr Second Dose and 13.18cr Precaution Dose) have been administered so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive, the release stated.
