Manipur on Thursday reported 12 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, pushing the state’s COVID-19 confirmed caseload to 1,39,575, including 112 active cases, official sources said.
According to the COVID-19 Common Control Room release on Thursday, 574 total samples were tested in the last 24 hours. Out of it, 12 were tested positive. The cases confirmed at RIMS were three and other testing centres were nine.
Of the positive cases, Imphal East reported one, Imphal West six, Kakching one, Kangpokpi one and Churachandpur three cases.
All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, it stated.
In the last 24 hours, the State Level Covid 19 Deaths Audit Committee reported no death case of COVID-19. The cumulative number of COVID-19 deaths stood at 2,143, it added.
The release further stated that 56 persons were discharged after completion of surveillance during last 24 hours. They are from Home Isolation -16, SHRI (1) and Discharged (39). The total number of recovered cases is 1,37,320, and the recovery rate is 98.38 per cent.
As on August 17, a total of 112 D-type Oxygen cylinders and 19 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities of Manipur, the release informed.
