The 11-year-old gymnast and her family have been residing in a relief camp since last year due to the prevailing violence in state, stated a release from the Governor's Secretariat. She was later admitted to the Sports Authority of India (SAI), it stated.

COCOMI makes resolute stand on withdrawal of Assam Rifles from Manipur

Manipur police face issues with wireless handsets in Jiribam

As per sources, the Wireless Repeater Tower Jiribam District Police was installed inside the campus of Jiribam Police Station. However, the Cyclone Remal on April 26 destroyed the tower, rendering the static wireless set, vehicular wireless set, and handheld wireless set non-functional.

Manipur floods were not as deadly and devastating like that of Assam, but it was of an unprecedented scale not known before or expected. River banks were breached and houses flooded up to the brim requiring major makeover after the floods receded. But Manipur’s flood damage did not find a mention in the Union budget.
