Mass tree plantation held at Eco Park Kakching

As many as 150 various tree saplings were planted during a mass tree plantation drive at Angaan Ching Eco Park Kakching on Sunday.

Alliance for Development Alternatives-Manipur (ADAM) Kakching as part of its regular Sunday Eco Club activity, carried out a mass tree plantation drive at Angaan Ching Eco Park Kakching on Sunday.

The activity was carried out in continuation of the month-long "Ching Kasi Umang Kansi" Campaign organised by ADAM since July 2, 2023.

As many as 150 various tree saplings were planted in and around the park during the drive.

Vice Chancellor of Dhanamanjuri University Imphal, Professor N Rajmuhon, President of Macha Chanu Kakching, N Pramodini and around 70 volunteers including players of Sanjoy Football Coaching Centre, Kakching and Indrakumar Boxing Institute Kakching, members of ADAM and Macha Chanu participated in the drive.

Speaking on the sidelines, professor Rajmuhon lauded the initiative taken by ADAM and asserted that it will facilitate in promoting environmental welfare. He also appealed to the public to extend their support and cooperation in environmental movements.
