YWC Langthabal, MPSC shine in AMFA Senior Women's Football 2023-24

Manipur Police Sports Club beat Youth Welfare Club, Thambalkhong by 2-0 goals.

The Young Welfare Club, Langthabal outplayed Women Football Academy, Kakching by 8-1 goals in the 14th AMFA Senior Women's Football League 2023-24 played at Artificial Turf, Lamlong Thongkhong.

The YWC Langthabal team learnt the WFA loopholes quite early in the game as M. Nandeshwori tapped home from the far end post for the lead in the 7th minute. Outwitting the defence, YWC Langthabal struck again in the 12th minute from S Silky.

Later W Daina Chanu pumped home three more goals in 20th, 34th, 43rd for YWC team. But just before the whistle, WFA Kakching M Ambika managed to get her shot right in the 40th+1st minute to trail by 1-5 goals. In the second half, M Nandeshwori struck two more goals in the 67th and 74th and L Seityamala scored the eight goal 80th+2nd minute for the victory.

In another match, Manipur Police Sports Club beat Youth Welfare Club, Thambalkhong by 2-0 goals. S Rinaroy scored the first goal in the 17th minute while Ng Bala Devi fetched the second goal in the 79th minute. Police players Ng Bala and A Nilam got yellow cards in the match.
