United Brothers FC took six matches to finally shed its inhibition and bring a smile to its fan base as they have lost all their previous five games.

United Brothers FC, Ukhrul broke the jinx by beating USA Khurai by 2-1 goals to collect their first points in the 16th Manipur State League 2023-24 played at Artificial Turf, Lamlong Thongkhong.

United Brothers FC took six matches to finally shed its inhibition and bring a smile to its fan base as they have lost all their previous five games. USA had just one win and one drawn match from six showing.USA, who has also been through to a rough phase in the league, found the opening goal with forward H Tombi Singh scoring in the 14th minute of the game.

Fed up on the receiving ends, United Brothers FC made a more drastic approach in the game, no matter what may come, and got the equaliser from midfielder Themchui RS netting home in the 35th minute to level 1-1 goals in first half. Themchui rose once again in the latter minute when he pushed home the winning goal in the 72nd minute to romp home with the welcome win.

In another match, Young Physique Union, Lalambung fetched their second win beating TRAU Kwakeithel by 3-0 goals. With the win, YPHU have 9 points from two wins and three drawn matches and TRAU has 3 points from a win from seven matches.

Finding the game to their liking, YPHU got the break with L Benjohnson scoring the opening goal in the 27th minute. Later on, it was the magical touch of substitute forward Mangte Herochung who struck in quick succession in the 81st and 85th minutes respectively for the deserving win. YPHU players Mangte Herochung and Md Fayal Khan got yellow cards in the match.
