U-17 World Cup: 10 Manipur women footballers to leave for Jamshedpur on Friday

Sixteen teams from six confederations are taking part in the U-17 Women's World Cup

The ten women footballers who were selected by the All India Football Federation to represent India in the U-17 Women's World Cup will leave for Jamshedpur on Friday to attend the preparatory camp.

The 10 women state footballers are Yanglem Julia Devi, Ngasepam Pinku Devi, Keisham Melody, Llaishram Rejiya, Seram Hempriya, Loktongbam Shelia Devi, Moirangthem Ambika Devi, Lisham Babina Devi, Hemam Shilky Devi and Lynda Kom.

It can be mentioned that 16 teams from six confederations are taking part in the World Cup. Spain is the defending champion which they have won in 2018. However, since the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic, the tournament could not be held so far. But FIFA is preparing to hold the World Cup in 2022, the dates have not yet been fixed.
