Subroto Mukherjee Football: Wangoi HS to face Madhumati

The winner of the final match will represent Manipur in U-17 Girls National Level Subroto Mukherjee Football Tournament at New Delhi.

Wangoi High School, Imphal West will clash with the Madhumati Government High School, Bishnupur in the final of State Inter State Subroto Mukherjee Football Tournament 2022 for U-17 Girls organised by YAS Manipur at Artificial Turf, Lamlong Thongkhong at 2.30 pm.

The winner of the final match will represent Manipur in U-17 Girls National Level Subroto Mukherjee Football Tournament at New Delhi.

The first semi-final between Madhumati Government High School and Bukpi Government High School was a one sided affair as the former took a giant leap in the first half, scoring three goals from Th Kethabi, O Babita, O Retika. Later, I Priyadarshini added one more goal for the victory.

As for the second semi-final, Wangoi High School faced stiff challenges from Free Progress Academy, Imphal East but the former ultimately prevailed in the end with 6-5 goals during kicks from penalty marks. During normal time, both teams managed 1-1 goals with K Anju making the opening for Imphal East while Thoibisana Devi fetched the equaliser for Imphal West in the second half.

Later, Menaka, Kimte, Remi, Thoibisana and Reena scored for Wangoi High School but for Free Press Academy, only K Anju, M Roshibina, Nangpineng and N Arina beat the keeper.
