CHIKL Chajing overcame SFC Tera by 3-2 goals in the 22nd S Birendra Singh Memorial Super Division Football League 2022 organised by Imphal West District Football Association at SKYC Ground, Awang Sekmai.
The winning goal for CHIKL was scored by I Indrajit who struck twice and N Alex fetched one goal. A Bipin and Th Kipgen scored a goal each for the SFC team. Three SFC players P James, Kh Rohit and A Khagemba got yellow cards for rough tackles in the match.
Gymnastic competition underway: As many as eighty gymnasts including a team from Meghalaya are taking part in 3rd Invitation Gymnastics Championship organised by Manipur Gymnasts Parents' Association under All Manipur Gymnastics Association which got underway at Indoor Stadium Khuman Lampak.
YAS director T Phulen Meitei along with L Tiken Singh, former Director-SAI, YAS deputy director (training and coaching) T Thouba Singh inaugurated the two-day championships.
Floor exercise, pommel horse, horizontal bars, uneven bars and rhythmic gymnastics are the events featured in the competition and results are expected from Saturday morning.
Bishnupur Football: TYDA Toubul beat BFA Nachou by 3-2 goals in the 1st Late Th Ibopishak (Ningthouren) Singh Football League 2022-23 organised by DSA Bishnupur at Mini Stadium. S Kaphoi, Sanathoi Th and S Boyai scored a goal each for TYDA team while the goals for BFA were made by P Zidane and L Surjakanta.
