Six bodybuilders of Manipur found their place in Team India for the upcoming 56th Asian BodyBuilding & Physique Sports Championship 2024 & 15th WBPF World Body Building & Physique Sports Championship 2024 to be held in Indonesia and Maldives.
The bodybuilders who got selected for Mr World as well Mr Asia competition during the selection trial held for Team India at Kochi are Th Yaisana Meitei, E Kavita Chanu, Joyjeet Waikhom and Rk Sanathoi Meetei. Yaisana Meitei will compete in Men's Fitness Physique as well.
Sakibur Yumkhaibam will compete in Mr World, while Kh Rishikanta in Mr Asia only. The 56th Asian Bodybuilding is scheduled to be held from August 6-12 at Batam, Indonesia and 15th WBPF World from November 5-11, 2024 at Maldives, according to a statement by General Secretary, AMBBA, Y Sunanta.
