The DYASO Imphal East will organise a trial cum selection test for U-14 years and U-17 years boys and girls players in nine disciplines for various competitions to represent the district.
The disciplines are wrestling, hockey, handball, and volleyball. The trial competition will be held from August 26 to 29 and state selection to represent Imphal East will be done from September 1 to 4 at Khuman Lampak Sports Complex.
Similarly, the competition event of archery, basketball, rugby, kho-kho and gymnastic will commence from September 3 to 5 and the selection process will start from September 7 to 10 at Khuman Lampak.
DYASO Kakching to organise JN hockey tournament
The District Youth Affairs & Sports Office, Kakching will organise the District Level JN Hockey Tournament for U-15 years Boys & U-17 years Boys and Girls at Keirak from August 18 to 19, 2023.
The DYASO office informed the age criteria for sub-junior boys U-15, stating that those born on or after November 1, 2008, are eligible, while for junior boys and girls U-17 those born on or before November 1, 2006, are eligible to compete in the tournament.
It also said that entry will be accepted till August 17 and medical check-ups will be done on the next day.
In the meantime, DYASO Kakching will also conduct a district level inter school game trial selection in nine disciplines including wrestling, hockey, handball, volleyball, archery, basketball, rugby, kho-kho and gymnastics for U-14 and U-17 boys and girls.
The trial selection will begin on August 28 and will be held till 31 starting with hockey and handball on the first day.
