The battalion felicitated bronze medallist Laishram Newton of the International Wushu Championship held in February in Russia and his coach ASIAN silver medallist M Ronel.

With the aim to promote the discipline of Wushu, the Army battalion had even set up its  own wushu team, said the Bishnupur District Wushu Association in a release.

It extended gratitude to the Army battalion for honouring the wushu champions and supporting the players of the district.
