VSAI Thangmeiband drubbed AMBA Cheirap by 4-0 goals to garner full points in the 4th Sangai Trophy Veterans Football Tournament 2022 organised by United Veteran Football Association, Manipur played at Artificial Turf, Lamlong Thongkhong.
AMBA defied the early attack by VSAI but could not hold for long as the latter found the opening in the 23rd minute of play from Ng Santosh for the lead. Mounting further aggression, VSAI consolidates just before the whistle of the first half with Kh Rajen Khanganba scoring in 30 plus 3 minute of injury time.
AMBA lacking firing prowess, went further down in the match when VSAI looked scoring easy as Th Sonendro pushed home the third goal in the 37th minute and later, S Santa dealt the final blow with the winning goal in 65th minute for the victory today.
In the other match, UVSA FC blanked MUSA Chekon by 4-0 goals as well to grab full points.
Ng Thoiba proved the trump card for his team scoring three goals for his hat trick while Ng Ratankumar fetched one goal for UVSA team.
In Friday's matches, TBSFA FC will meet SIRTI Chandel in the first match at 2 pm while TBSFA Tabungkhok will face VSA Sora in the second match at 3.30 pm.
