CVFA Chajing got the better of ATVFA Thangmeiband by 3-1 goals in the 4th Sangai Trophy Veterans Football Tournament 2022, organised by United Veteran Football Association, Manipur played at Artificial Turf, Lamlong Thongkhong.

After several attempts, Y Jotin delivered the much anticipated goal for CVFA in the 29th minute for the lead in the first half. The Chajing Veteran rallied for more domination in the second half and they reap the reward when L Shaolin scored in the 37th minute to post 2-0 goals.

But as the game inched toward its closing end, ATVFA made a final lunge and got the break when O Pritam came up with the first goal in the 57th minute. But the very next moment, CVFA player S Binodkumar's goal in the 59th minute sealed the fate of its opponent.

In the other match, FC Imphal and SVA Khongjom Keirak shared a point each after the match ended in a goalless draw.

In Thursday’s matches, AMBA Cheirap will take on VSAI Thangmeiband at 2 pm while MUSA Checkon will face UVSA FC at 3.30 pm.
