RCA Lilong will test their strength against AKSDO Khangabok in the finale of the 4th MNCA U-16 Boys Naorem Rajningthou Memorial Trophy 2023-24 to be played on Monday at Model Hr Secondary School & Oriental College Ground at 9.30 am.
In the first semi-final played between RCA Lilong and Blue Hawk Khurai at Model & Oriental Ground, RCA Lilong raced on with 148 runs for 10 wickets from 27.4 overs; Skipper Naesh Hussain top-scored with 25 runs while Md Saad scored 19 runs.
Chasing the target, Blue Hawk failed to stand their ground as they were bundled out for 76 runs for 10 wickets in 24 overs. Kh Nongdamba made 16 runs; RCA bowler Nawaz Sharif bagged 5 wickets and was declared the Man of the Match.
As for the second semi-final, AKSDO Khangabok beat TCMDC Thongju by 9 wickets at Dhobi Lampak, Kongba Khunou.
TCMDC made 135 runs for 8 wickets from 35 overs with Thomsan making an unbeaten 41 runs while Rain got 41 runs as well. TCMDC bowler Kaiku claimed 2 wickets.
In reply, AKSDO surpassed the target in 28.5 overs for 1 wicket with Samson hitting a man-of-the-match score of unbeaten 67 runs while Bishorjit made 57 runs for the victory.
