Poloi Football Club, Chingarel Tezpur outshone Eastern Sporting Union, Wangkhei by 6-5 goals in the Col Ksh Arunkumar Memorial 3rd Inter Club Futsal Tournament 2023-24 played at Artificial Turf, Lamlong Thongkhong.
ESU Wangkhei looked promising in the start as they enjoyed the first half with four goals lead against two from Poloi team. However, it was Poloi skipper Md Nawaz Sharif who drew first blood in the 6th minute but ESU were quick to response in abundance with S Rahul fetching the equaliser in the 10th minute supported by Md Imtiyas in 13th, M Prabin in 14th and S Rahul in the 18th minute to get a grip in the match.
Poloi FC woke up with their second goal from S Santosh in the 17th minute and he made more effort in the second half to score the third goal in the 22nd minute and later Md Jayet, A Sonalish, Nawaz Sharif came up with a goal each; the fourth goal for ESU was fetched by P Rahis in the 34th minute from the penalty spot.
In the other match, KRYPSA Naoremthong beat Balananda Football Academy by 5-4 goals. For the KRYPSA team, H Romen scored a hat-trick of goals while Kh Robert and Given Panmei fetched a goal each.
A Romesh struck twice for Balananda FA while S Dayananda and O Borish got a goal each.
