Pamyal Patsoi dazzled with 3-1 goals victory over YDO Kwakeithel Lamdong in the IDWFA 21st S Birendra Singh Memorial Super Division League 2021, played at Pamyal Patsoi Ground, Imphal West.
The host team Pamyal put up a spirited effort against its formidable opponent YDO team but it seemed the day belonged to W Rojen Singh, who pumped in his hattrick goal, to bolster his team's prospects in the league.
Pamyal Patsoi got the early goal in the 14th minute of play when W Rojen Singh slotted home a grounder for the lead. But the YDO team replied fittingly with Chenlal Vaiphei fetching the equaliser in 19th minute to bring more competitiveness in the game.
Playing in their home turf, Pamyal sweated it out and finally got the reward when S Rojen Singh came up with his second goal in the added time of 40 plus 1 minute for the lead in the first half.
Keeping their grip in the game, Pamyal increased the tally when W Rojen Singh, yet again, ruffled the net of his opponent in the 55th minute to enjoy the game with 3-1 goal wins. Referee S Suresh Singh booked YDO player E Akash and Pamyal players M Bijen, L Alex for rough tackle in the match.
In the match on Wednesday, NC Khonghampat will take on Youth Welfare Club, Langthabal at 2 pm.
