Nehal Chongtham of Chumthang Sanapung, Langthabal flexed his muscle to grab the Senior 55 kg category title of Mr Manipur 2023 organised by All Manipur Body Builders Association held at JNIMS Auditorium Hall, Imphal East.
Nehal outshone M Rahul of Sayon Gym, Mayang Imphal and S Thoithoiba of Humanity Plus Uripok, who bagged the second and third place among the 13 contestants.
However, Moirangthem Rahul Meitei of Sayon Gym has reason to smile about as he clinched the top spot in the Junior 55 kg category of Mr Manipur 2023. The Senior category overall title challenge is still underway.
Rahul outshone Th. Ajaysana Meitei of Humanity Plus, Uripok who took the second spot while A. Sushilkumar of Sangai Gym Khagempalli, L Sanathoi Meetei of YBBC Gym Yurembam and Dimpu K of Super Gym Khurai came third, fourth and fifth respectively among the eleven contestants.
As for the Master category, Heisnam Flood Mangang of X-Fitness Wangkhei took the overall champion title.
As for the Junior 60 kg contest, S Rohit of Hercules Gym Yairipok was adjudged winner while Wungkhui Lungharwo of Royal Gym Ukhrul and compatriot KYS Mishap took the second and third spot. Phaomeilung Phaomei and Rohit S of Gym 24 New Checkon fetched the fourth and fifth spot.
Haobam Ariya of United Gym Naoremthong claimed the top title of the Junior 65 kg while L Netrajit of YBB Gym Pishumthong and S. Lobikumar of Wild Gym Minuthong got the second and third spot. Lanchenba of The Khelen Gym Thoubal and Chitambar of Humanity Plus Uripok settled for 4th and 5th spot.
The 70 kg Junior category saw Th. Yaisana Meitei of Royal Gymnasium Ningomthong take the top spot while Dhanraj Gupta of XTreme Fitness Mantripukhri and Kh Pathou of DJ Gym Kakching fetched the second and third place. Y. Thomas of City Gym Uripok and Y. James of Sangai Gym Khagempalli made the cut for 4th and 5th place.
Th. Ritesh of Sangai Gym Khagempalli emerged winner of Junior 75 kg among the thirteen contestants while in 75 plus Kg category, Kh Rishikanta of Friends Fitness Gym Sagolband took the top title among five contestants.
As for the Senior 60 kg category, A. Anganba Meitei of Humanity Plus Uripok got the top spot, L Neta of United Gym Naoremthong claimed the first place in senior 65 kg category.
The 70 kg title in the Senior category was bagged by Th Yaisana Meitei of Royal Gym Ningomthong while in the 75 kg title was claimed by A Bisan Luwang of AMBBA, L Dinesh Singh of Manipur Fitness Club, Konung Mamang took the 80 kg title, W Priyobrata of Liangtuang Gym Kamei Foundation, Neikanlong Thangmeiband claimed 85 kg title, Nivarshan Mainam of Sajel Culture, Thoubal took the 90 kg title and M. Robert of YVO Gym Wabagai Kakching fetched the 90 plus kg title.
As for the Master category, L. Ojitkumar of MPSC in 40-50 years, L. Modhu of X-Fitness Wangkhei in 60 plus kg took the title. However the overall title was claimed by H.Flood Mangang of X-Fitness Wangkhei.
Director, Youth Affairs & Sports, T.Phulen Meitei graced the formal opening at 4 pm and offered floral tributes to pioneer bodybuilders of the state.
