Manipur archer Okram Naobi Chanu hits the bull eye, clinching the Gold medal in Women's Individual event in the 36th National Games 2022 at Gujarat.

Archer Naobi Chanu in the final of the Women Individual of Indian Round beat host Gujarat archer Rathva Amita Ganpatbhai to shoot her way to the Gold medal while Laiphrakpam Rojina Devi took the Bronze medal

Manipur male archers also shine with another Gold medal in Men's Team event of Indian Round beating SSCB archers, collecting 6 points. Archers in the team are M Chingkhei Meitei, K Borish, L Naoton Singh and Ch Nelson. Rajasthan archers took the Bronze medal.

The sixth day of the competition saw Manipur collecting 2 Gold, 1 Silver and 2 Bronze medals from Archery and Fencing events.

However the women's team comprising L Rojina, O Naobi, LTomthinnganbi and W Malesori failed to guide their arrows well in the Team Event of Indian Round as they settled for the Silver medal after Kerala, who won the Gold medal. Host Gujarat fetched the Bronze medal.

Manipur also collected a Bronze medal from the Fencing event in Women Team Epee.

In the Men's football, Manipur lost to Odisha by 3-0 goals. All the goals made by Odisha were scored in the first half. Manipur had drawn their opening match against SSCB by 1-1 goals and they will play their last league round match against Kerala.

The badminton event saw, Meiraba Luwang lost Satish Kumar K of Tamil Nadu by 22-24, 21-13, 21-14 points in the Men's Single pre quarter final match while in Men's Double, the pair of K.Dingko and Kh.Manjit lost to Karnataka pair of Nitin H and V.Vaibhav by 21-18, 13-21, 21-18 points.

The sixth day of the competition saw Manipur collecting 2 Gold, 1 Silver and 2 Bronze medals from Archery and Fencing providing 13 Gold, 5 Silver and 11 Bronze medals in the Games.
